A poetry and (sometimes) art series in Memphis, TN featuring a diverse array of local, regional, and nationally recognized poets. It was usually held at story booth, an alternative literary space formerly in the Crosstown Arts Cleveland Street storefront. It was twice a feature at the Mid-South Book Festival. Impossible Language was also featured in the Memphis Flyer. It’s (or Ashley’s) role in the Memphis lit scene was written about in the Flyer’s column The Rant and in High Ground News.
Impossible Language celebrated its final reading in December 2017.
I deleted the tumblr page I used to host the archive. Oops. Here’s some of it on the Wayback Machine Internet Archive.

My friend April Pierce hand-painted the Impossible Language logo on the back wall.
